Wheeler Dealers. Season 15 Ep6. 1987 Porsche 924. Wednesday @ 9pm - 10pm (VelocityHD) new
Another great weekend of racing ahead and ESPN coverage tries to make up for last weekend by providing coverage of all Free Practices on ESPNU (aka The OCHO) and ESPN2. There's supposedly an F1 streaming service debuting this weekend, in related news, but it's not free. In the meantime we get back to action in Baku, AJ -- nothing short of the craziest race of 2018. Last year had Vettel ramming into Hams after thinking he was break checked during a safety car lap. This year we had two Red Bulls take each other out, Hamilton fell into a victory due to some pretty shabby debris clearing by the track workers during multiple safety car laps; Bottas clipped a large piece of metal in the closing laps forcing him to retire after rear tire puncture. Grosjean crashes out while trying to keep his tires up to temp during a safety car lap. Did I mention there were a ton of safety car laps!? Ferrari was fast again, but was out strategized by Merc late, Bottas driving the perfect race. Raikkonen fell short in qualy by made the podium ahead of his teammate. Sergio Perez made the absolute most of what was given to him, taking 3rd place. Seven drivers didn't reach the end of the race, which shook up the points scoring landscape tremendously. McLaren scored with both cars. Sauber finished in 6th...enough said. With the checkered flag dropped the Driver's Championship standings are as follows: Hamilton, Vettel (-4), Raikkonen (-22), Bottas (-30), Ricciardo (-33), Alonso (-42). Spain is where everyone tests in the off season, where most teams and drivers have the most laps. This should be another good weekend to see who gets the edge between the three top teams.
