What to watch this weekend (Mar 1st - Mar 7th)

• Top Gear (UK). Classic episode marathon. Monday @ 8am - Tuesday @ 2am (BBC America/BBC America HD) great replays
• Grand Prix: The Killer Years. This special looks at the brave pilots who raced in the F1 of the 60's and 70's, well before the safety advances of more recent times. Monday @ 7pm - 8pm (Velocity/Discovery's HD Theater) new
• Renaissance Man. Mini rides again. Monday @ 10pm - 11pm (Velocity/Discovery's HD Theater) new
• Formula 1 replay of the week - Abu Dhabi Gran Prix, from the Yas Marina Circuit, Abu Dhabi in UAE. Race. Tuesday @ 12pm - 2:30pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD)
• Motorweek. Porsche 911. Tuesday @ 8pm - 8:30pm (Velocity/VelocityHD) new

We're still counting down to the race season, but there are plenty of solid shows to tame the beast in all of us. FYI, Top Gear America started airing new episodes on History Channel two weeks ago, but apparently these two episodes were filed under season two (ep. 9 and 10 respectively). This upcoming Tuesday will be episode 11 apparently, but regardless is a new airing. Enjoy the weekend all; unfortunately I have a date with a brush and a paint can.

Car Pron: Ben Thomas' B5 Wagon

B5 Audi A4 Avant's have been on my wish/to-do list since 98'. I enjoy their smooth yet chunky German styling, functionality and AWD performance potential. While the S4 variant of the B5 A4 was the top of line model in the US, Europe got the RS4. This model not only got more power, but widened arches all around, better running and stopping gear as well as a meaner exterior. Converting US S4 Avant's into RS4 replicas has always been a popular pastime here in the states, but taking the conversion a step further than 'RS4' is what Ben Thomas has done.
