• Targa Newfoundland. Highlights of the (2010) 9th annual Targa Newfoundland Rally, held over six days in September. Narrated by Andrew Marriott. Saturday @ 11am - 12pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD) replay
• GT Academy. Marathon of all five episodes. Sixteen PlayStation 3 gamers battle in real motor sport challenges driving Nissan 370z’s and GTRs at the Silverstone Circuit. Only one gamer will go pro, the rest go home. Saturday @ 12pm - 5pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD) replays

A nice mix of shows this weekend, with a few new faces for WTWTW. GT Academy is a video gamer meets reality racing competition for Grand Tourismo fanatics. Targa Newfoundland is exactly what it sounds like; a monumental road rally across Newfoundland, Canada (pic below). And there are not one, but two F1 replays this week. First, the German GP from the Ring', and second the GP of Hungary. Top Gear US is back for a new season this upcoming Tuesday on History Channel. Lastly, the guys from Wheeler Dealers flip a VW bus on Wednesday night. Enjoy the weekend all, and watch out for that cold front coming through next week.

Quick Vid: Leena Gade - The First Female Race Engineer to Win Le Mans

There are always multiple achievements when a car or race team take the checkered flag. Along with the Audi R18's memorable win, at the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans, Leena Gade became the first female race engineer to win as well. Alex Musial of FLD does us all a favor gets an interview.

Motorsport Series: The origin of turbo engines in Formula 1

F1 is form of motorsport where technology envelope is pushed constantly. From aerodynamics to weight reduction to power output, evolution is almost a synonym for Formula 1, and over the years the specs have changed dramatically. While forced induction was allowed as early as 1966, in the late 70's turbos were refined to the point of viability in these karts of yesteryear, but before induction was banned in favor of natural displacement in 1989, some serious track monsters were produced and tamed by the legends of the sport.
