We should be in for a pretty interesting F1 this weekend. Hamilton had an incident remove him from contention while trying to hold onto a podium in Spain, falling victim to terminal contact with Maldonado on the last lap of the race. Maldonado was aggressive and wasn't penalized during the race, but afterwards the stewards reviewed the incident and deemed he should receive a 20 second penalty onto his finishing time, effectively dropping him two spots to 12th place in Valencia. Bruno Senna benefited from this turn out, moving up a spot, but still outside of championship points for the race. Hams will be at his home track, along side his countryman and teammate Jenson Button, so both McLaren driver's will be sure to try to right their recent bad luck. Alonzo looks like the driver of the year so far, being the first to win two races and being at the top of the driver championship standing roughly half way through the 2012 F1 season. The reason why Alonzo's fortune turned around? Seemingly heat-based alternator problems with the Renault engines, powering both Red Bull teams among others. Sebastian Vettel's car suddenly lost power while he was in the lead with a few laps left so he'll be chomping at the bit come Sunday.

In other news, ALMS will be in Lime Rock Park this Saturday with live airing on ESPN3.com and same day delayed broadcast at 4pm on ESPN2. Enjoy your weekends.
