What to watch this weekend (July 15th - July 17th)

• Isle of Man TT 2011 - Insiders Guide to the Isle of Man. Saturday @ 11am - 12pm (Discovery's High Def Theater)
• Australian V8 Supercars - Townsville 400. From Townsville Street Circuit in Queensland, Australia. Saturday @ 1pm - 3pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD) replay from 7/8 - 7/10
• What's my car worth? Saturday @ 10pm - 12am (Discovery's High Def Theater) replays
• The Car Show with Adam Carolla. Episode 2. Wednesday @ 10pm - 11pm (SPEED/SPEEDHD)

A slow weekend ahead, but hey it's the middle of the summer so you should be outside anyways! I'm still on that boat (mothafuka) that I mentioned last week and I hope to have a ton of motorhead junk to share when I get back to the states. In the meantime, enjoy some Aussie road racing. For some background on The Car Show, Adam Carolla was originally supposed to be the main character (Jezzas equivalent) on Top Gear USA (along with Eric Stromer and Tanner Foust) when it was first presented to NBC as a pilot a couple years ago. The original pilot was received well from the viewers, but after putting millions into the effort NBC backed out, presumably due to the 'Big Three bailout' that the Government was in the middle of. NBC scrapped TGA and later, after Adam was knee deep trying to get another show (sitcom) picked up, Top Gear America was picked up by the History Channel. He couldn't do it, Adam Ferrara got the spot and the rest is history. Now SPEED channel, who is looking for more content, decided to put out it's own show...The Car Show is the result.

Car Pron: Getaway in Stockholm

When I think of the first Getaway in Stockholm movie, I think back to watching it online, after letting it cache up for 20minutes with dial-up Internet, around the new millennium. Thankfully someone has hosted this instant classic, so I'm sharing it with all of you who never saw the original. If you're old enough, you know that flicks like these were all somewhat inspired by one of the most legendary automotive guerrilla films ever, Rendezvous (A must see).
